Q: Will a headphone amp really make a difference in the sound quality I get from my headphones?

A: All headphone amplifiers are not alike! You may be surprised by the quality of sound you enjoy when you use the Symphony Headphone Amplifier. Since your current headphone amp may have a chip that isn't even designed for audio, the high quality Burr-Brown op-amps we use are, and make all the difference.. In addition, our soundfield processing circuit effectively reduces fatigue, and provides a quality much more typical of what you enjoy from a speaker. We even have a portable version!

Q: I'm a loyal McIntosh hi-fi user and collector... where can I find accessories?

A: We carry everything from adapters to end caps to LED Conversion and Filter kits. You can find everything you need here, and many of our parts and accessories are a result of customer requests?those ?hard to find' pieces.

Q. Why are audio cables made out of solid silver or solid copper wire and not silver plated copper?

A. At Prelude Auto, all of our audio cables are either solid silver or solid copper wire. We do not recommend using silver plated copper wire for audio purposes because it could affect the sound quality. Audio signals on silver plated copper are carried only on the copper core or on its edge. Silver plated copper wire is not as versatile as its counterparts.

Q. Where do music waveforms ride?

A. Due to the face that music consists of varying waveforms, they ride on various different parts of the wire. Make sure you get the most of your music! Use audio cables made out of solid silver or solid copper wire from Prelude Auto. Browse our audio cables and accessories and see the difference!

Q: What do your video cables feature?

A: Our high quality "Visions" Series video cables feature BNC, RCA, or F-type connectors made specifically for that cable.

Q: What is the difference between your Digi-line I and Digi-line 2C Digital Cables?

A:The Digi-line 2C cable is slightly more flexible and larger in diameter than our Digi-line I. The Digi-line 2C model also offers a dual copper shield while the Digi-line I features a dual foil/braid shield.

Q: What is the cost of shipping?

A: Shipping in the USA is $7.00 per order. However, if your total is over $100.00, your shipping is on us!

Q: How should I store my cables?

A: Extend the life of all your cables or cords by rolling, instead of folding, in order to eliminate any sharp bends or kinks. These bends could shorten the life of the cable's insulation and/or wire inside.
